Our review on Lonely Planet
“Casa Sacuanjoche is three sweet rooms above a family home. Only one has a private bathroom, but all are spacious, comfortably furnished and have big windows letting in plenty of air and light.
Furnishings are modern and casual. There’s no forced colonial theme going on here; the emphasis is comfort over aesthetic. The rooms share a small balcony/landing set out with comfortable sofas – a great place to get to know your fellow guests. Downstairs is the family’s living area, which sounds awkward, but the charming Nica-US couple who run the place are so warm and pleased to have you as guests that pretty soon you feel like a family member, too. At the front of the building, occupying the entrance lobby is an art gallery, stocked with paintings by the owner, a prolific Nicaraguan painter. ”

“I stayed here for 2 weeks in the summer of 2008 and would highly recommend the place. It’s located in a safe area very close to the park and the main streets in Grenada. The owners are very nice and knowledgeable about the area. The home is newly renovated and lined with Alvaro’s personal artwork (he’s an amazing painter). The layout provides a great spacious living area to hang out the family’s energetic toddler, but also provides ample privacy when desired, as the bedrooms are located on a newly constructed second floor.
